So Lucius could use two rather important people in his life: his wife and his son. For site-wide info on them, check out the canon list. Now for details specifically regarding Lucius.
Narcissa: Lucius loves his wife and is actually really warm and affectionate with her, something I would like to see reciprocated. In terms of how everything would work on site with the plot, I had Lucius give up a lot of things to keep himself, Narcissa, and Draco out of Azkaban. He paid heavy fines, agreed to not work for at least six months, not have a wand for that time period, and what sort of magic he could do with and without it, as well as giving information about Death Eaters. He also had to give up all Dark Artifacts in their home, agreed that both he and their home could be searched at anytime, and limited when, where, and how long he could go places. As for what she has given up it is up to the player as is whether they discussed it in great detail. Lucius will try and take most of the punishment for her.
Draco: Lucius is feeling extremely guilt at the position that he put his son in. He feels that he is the reason that Draco was branded with the Dark Mark and forced to try and kill Dumbledore, all because the Dark Lord wanted to punish Lucius for what went down at the Battle at the Department of Mysteries. Lucius isn't the warmest father but neither is he extremely cold towards his son, nor is he cruel. Lucius tries his hardest to be a good father and feels that he failed miserably along the way. What sort of thing happens to Draco is up to the player but Lucius will try and shoulder the burden to spare his son, though there is likely little more that he can do.
