St. Mungo's Hospital
St. Mungo’s Hospital employs only the best Healers and Mediwizards the UK has to offer, and as such its standards are quite high. All St. Mungo’s staff are required to wear lime green robes with a crossed wand and bone symbol above the heart.
There are two types of medical professions available in the wizarding world. Healers, which are the magical equivalent of doctors, are highly trained professionals in a specific field. Mediwizards, the equivalent of a magical medic, are highly trained field agents who are versed in many areas of healing.

Becoming a Healer
Requirements needed in order to be considered for Healer training include N.E.W.T.s of at least grade E (Exceeds Expectations) in the subjects of Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Once these grades are obtained, one must sit through an aptitude test that will determine whether or not the individual is cut out for the specialist training from St. Mungos’ educational Healing Division, as supervised by the Ministry.
It takes five years to become a certified Healer. After the successful submission of the aptitude test, a Healer applicant will spend two years learning the basics of wizarding medicine and the rules to which Healers are bound. After this, there is two years of specialist training, in which the individual will choose their specialization and move forward.
After the specialization training, three years are spent doing practical study as a trainee within St. Mungos under their specialist ward. Only after all seven years of training are complete, final examinations written and all practical are tests passed will one be certified as a Healer at St. Mungos.
However, due to the war and current circumstances of a run-down hospital staff, St. Mungo’s is offering crash courses in basic rudimentary healing – taking on new employees entitled “Healing Interns” what have the option of staying at the hospital and continuing with their training at the end of a year-long program.
St. Mungo's Healers make a base wage of 2,000 galleons per month.
Healers In Charge make 2,200 galleons per month.
Healing Interns make 1,500 galleons per month.
Specialists make additional galleons accordingly.
